June 29 - Sept. 4 - “Artists in Residence” Programs: In collaboration with Cleveland’s House Kids Club, Muskoka Chautauqua and PEACE School present artists and performers in daily programs of creative interactive activities for children. Artists will be available to schedule workshops and sell their artworks. Aug. 22 - 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. - MEC Muskoka Ride at Muskoka Wharf. With 90km and 160km routes to choose from, this one day cycling event winds, climbs, and descends around the big three: Lake Muskoka, Lake Joseph, and Lake Rosseau. Marshals and directional signs lead the way, while nicely-stocked rest stops provide anti-bonking snacks, washrooms and bike mechanics for minor repairs. A post-ride recovery area will feature beer, BBQ, music, and the chance to rub shoulders with two world-renowned professional riders. Ideal for intermediate to advanced riders, the inaugural MEC Muskoka Ride is your chance to spin with a motivated group on classic Canadian asphalt.
